On September 19, 2009, the velodrome at Marymoor Park will host a very different kind of bike race: the twilight cyclocross. Brought to you by the folks at Lake Washington Velo, Star Crossed is a burly bicycle race where

cyclists ride on pavement, grass and dirt trails, jump off their bikes to leap over obstacles, and schlep their cycles up steep hills. If that isn’t enough, they’re also racing at night! The annual race at Marymoor is quite an exciting spectator experience, even for folks unfamiliar with the sport. Oh, and did we mention there’s a beer garden and DJ, too?
