I had the opportunity to watch the Aztecs play their championship game on Saturday night. They are a thing of legend here in Parks. It was obvious from warm-ups to game-time that this team is tight. They shared jokes and smiles pre-game, but started off with the first two goals and never slowed down. It ended at 5 – 6 in sudden death, but these guys played hard and gave all of us a nail-biter of a game.

The Aztecs are just one of our success stories out of the King County Parks White Center Teen Program, but now is their time, and they stood up and made people pay attention. Thanks Aztecs for a great game, and a huge thank you to Jodi and Darlene for helping to make this team and youth program happen.
