Add real recreation value in your community and the youth will thank you! King County Parks’ Youth Sports Facilities Grant (YSFG) program is now accepting applications. To be considered for a grant, a Letter of Intent is due by May 3, 2013 and complete applications are due June 21, 2013.
The YSFG program provides matching grants of up to $75,000 to local jurisdictions, school districts, and non-governmental organizations that provide youth sports opportunities. Please be sure to thoroughly review the program’s policies before proceeding with the application. All documents, including a template for the Letter of Intent can be found at http://www.kingcounty.gov/recreation/parks/partners/ysfg.aspx.
Celebrating its 20 year anniversary, the YSFG program has awarded $12 million dollars in grant funds to 300 projects benefiting youth athletics in King County. These communities are enjoying new ball fields, sport courts, skate parks, climbing structures, and playgrounds thanks to our grant partners that have built or renovated these valuable facilities.
For any questions about the program or to discuss a specific project, please email Butch Lovelace, our YSFG program manager, at butch.lovelace@kingcounty.gov
