South King County

Playground construction is nearing completion at the South County Ballfields Park (pictured above). The playground is scheduled to reopen in a couple of weeks (exact date TBD) with all new Playworld Systems equipment and rubber tile safety surfacing. After that, King County Parks crews will begin work on the Five Mile Lake playground, which is scheduled to be complete in December. Both playgrounds are being replaced as part of the King County Parks levy funded Play Area Rehabilitation Program.

Bear Creek/Sammamish

Playground construction began at Cottage Lake Park on September 8. The playground is scheduled to reopen in early to mid-November with all new KOMPAN equipment and rubber tile safety surface. This playground is being replaced as part of the King County Parks levy funded Play Area Rehabilitation Program.
