South King County

Playground construction is now complete at South County Ballfields Park and the playground has been open since September 17. King County Parks crews will began work on the Five Mile Lake playground on October 5. It is scheduled to be complete towards the end of December. The playground improvements are part of the King County Parks levy funded Play Area Rehabilitation Program.

Bear Creek/Sammamish Area

Playground construction continues at Cottage Lake Park. The playground is now scheduled to reopen in early December with all new KOMPAN equipment and rubber tile safety surface. The completion date has been pushed out to December because the proposed drainage system for the new playground had to be redesigned after encountering some unanticipated conditions during excavation. This playground is being replaced as part of the King County Parks levy funded Play Area Rehabilitation Program.
