Monday Motivation: Photos from the Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series

On Saturday, King County Parks set up an outreach booth at the Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series. The day was filled with inconsistent weather, mud splattered legs but an overwhelmingly positive energy. I am not a trail runner, nor have I ever been (I actually despise running) but after talking with so many passionate athletes, I felt inspired to break out my shoes and get my heart rate up. Thank you to all the participants and vendors/partners (The Balanced Athlete, The North Face, Northwest Trail Runs, ATRA, GU Energy, Hoka One One, Pearl Izumi, USA Track & Field) out at Sky Country Trailhead who make this event possible. $15 of each entry fee benefits King County Parks and since 2003, Seattle Running Club has raised over $155,000 for King County Parks! WAHOOOOO! Thank you Seattle Running Club!

Mozy over to our flickr for more photos from the event.
