Join us this Saturday for WTA@50: Celebrate and Recreate!

Celebrate 50 years of volunteer work, trail stewardship and advocacy for public lands this Saturday, September 17 at the WTA@50: Celebrate and Recreate! event. With over 125 volunteer events amounting to 10,000 hours of service last year, the Washington Trails Association has been an integral part of King County Parks. Parks such as Grand Ridge, Soaring Eagle, Taylor Mt. Forest and Cougar Mt would not have the developed trail systems that they have today without the WTA.

Join the WTA and friends at Snoqualmie Point Park between noon and 6 pm to celebrate the organization’s 50th anniversary. Try out a new outdoor activity, compete in a scavenger hunt, scout out new gear, learn insider tips from hiking experts, or just relax at the beer garden with friends and plan your next adventure! King County Parks will be there all day, handing out backcountry trail maps, swag and facilitating giant Jenga games. Stop by our booth for a chance to win a swag filled hiking backpack, courtesy of REI.

Tickets are $15, children 12 and under are free.
