We’d like you to answer a few short questions about the initial design options for the 3-mile-long north segment of the Green to Cedar Rivers Trail, which goes from the Cedar River Trail to Southeast Kent-Kangley Road.

The survey will be available through May 11. This information will help us refine design considerations for the north segment, which will then be presented at a public forum later in the summer.

Right now, it looks like the north segment design will be completed by the end of 2017 and that construction will begin in 2018 and last for approximately 18 months.

Once completed, the Green to Cedar Rivers Trail will be a key north-south connection for people to walk, run, bike and ride horses. The entire 11-mile-long corridor will extend from the Cedar River Trail to Flaming Geyser State Park on the Green River, passing by multiple parks, natural areas, schools and businesses and connecting Maple Valley, Black Diamond, Covington, and beyond!

By paving and developing the trail to regional trail standards, Parks will create a safe and accessible trail for all ages and abilities. The Green to Cedar Rivers Trail is an important extension to King County’s 175-mile-long regional trail system, formalizing a connection in communities currently underserved by regional trails.
