The Sammamish River Trail upgrade along Woodinville Drive in Bothell is finally complete! King County Parks partnered with the City of Bothell to upgrade the old bike lane with a new buffered bike lane.
Previously, this gap in the Sammamish River Trail had just a single stripe delineating the bike lane that was often ignored by motorists and sometimes even used for illegal parking. Now the lane is much more clearly delineated.
Along with the new lines and delineators, the project made street improvements, added signs clearly prohibiting parking, as well as new trail bollards and access onto Woodinville Drive.
We’re excited for the new upgrade which will provide a safer continuation of the trail for people both on foot and on their bicycles. Thanks to our partners at the City of Bothell for working together to get this project on the ground!
