From 10 am – 3 pm on Saturday, September 26, a group of new and returning students from Seattle Pacific University will take part in a work party at Lakewood Park, as part of their annual CityQuest day of service.
Working closely with the Friends of Hicks Lake and other volunteers, the students will remove invasive blackberries and ivy and do other clean-up activities. Looks like it’ll be a nice day for the more than 800 students who will participate in service projects throughout the region.
Sept 26th is also National Public Lands Day, so go hug your favorite public park!
Many thanks to SPU and FoHL for your efforts in Lakewood Park!
