Here’s a slideshow from Maple Valley’s big Make a Difference Day on Sat, Oct 24th, courtesy of the Covington/Maple Valley Reporter.

The volunteers who helped out on King County’s parks and trails were amazing! The Friends of Soos Creek worked along the Soos Creek Trail and picked up 15 bags of litter and 2 bags of recycling.

Volunteers from Tahoma High School’s Green Team (pictured above) worked along the Green to Cedar River Trail, clearing litter and removing invasive species. They collected 1.2 tons of trash, including old furniture dumped along the trail! And at Fred V Habenicht Rotary Park, Rotary Club volunteers helped remove graffiti and cleared brush.

Kudos to everyone for the HUGE effort. Yay for Maple Valley!
