The Washington Trails Association is not only a great partner (and trail builder), but has a huge member base with a vast knowledge of local trails and history. In their latest issue of Washington Trails magazine, our friend and theirs, Abbey Wolfe wrote about some of the history of coal mining on the mountain, and how you can still see and learn of that history along the trail.

We invite you to of course come out to the mountain and experience it yourself, but also to pop over to the WTA’s website and to pick up their Washington Trails magazine too learn more.
