Who cares? YOU do!

Day of Caring Volunteers at Duthie Hill Mountain Bike Park

Here at KC Parks, we’d like to say a hearty Thank You to all the volunteers who came out on Friday, September 24 for the annual United Way “Day of Caring”. In addition to playing hooky from work, the volunteers working in King County’s parks weeded, mulched, cleared litter, removed invasives, planted natives, and much much more.

More than 300 volunteers partnered with King County Parks and our community partners, like Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance, People For Puget Sound, and Washington Trails Association. The United Way of King County reported that more than 9,000 people volunteered their time as part of the 2010 Day of Caring.
