Somebody ate their Wheaties! Our hats go off to bib #56, Joseph Gray, who set a course record and finished first on the 5.14 mile course with a time of 0:29:08.3 (pace of 5:40.1) in the first race of the SCOTT Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series.
First place honors in the 10.7 mile course went to bib #197, Jeffrey Gordon, with an overall time of 1:21:51.7 and a pace of 7:39 that brought him to the finish line more than two minutes ahead of the second place finisher.
The complete list of race results has even more impressive finish times, which only means one thing; the race is going to heat up this Saturday for the second installment of the series in the 8 and 13 mile courses.
Overall, the first races of the series had a total of 260 finishers and raised $3,900 for King County Parks.
Big thanks to Northwest Trail Runs and the Seattle Running Club for putting on this great event series!
