You don’t have to tell these kids twice to go outside and play, even in the rain. Besides, everyone knows that rain makes riding down slides that much more fun! Today in Fremont, King County Parks took part in a playground dedication at B.F. Day Elementary where kids, parents, teachers and supporting community groups came together to celebrate a successful completion of the playground renovation. King County Parks’ Youth Sports and Facilities Grant Program contributed $50,000 towards a new sports court, and partially paid for the playground. This marks our 15th playground in Seattle funded through YSFG in the past 10 years. King County Councilmember, Larry Phillips, shared with the crowd his appreciation for an important project well done as he emphasized the value of time spent outdoors for our children and that no child should be left “inside.”

The climbing web is a definitely a favorite among the kids!
