Ravensdale: Multi-purpose sports complex beats the boss level

Through some serious sweat-equity on Ravensdale Park Foundation’s part and a partnership with KC Parks’ Community Partnerships and Grants program, the new multi-purpose sports complex just got multi-purpose-complex-y-er. Practices have already begun, and games will start this February. A grand opening celebration will take place sometime this spring. Hopefully the lost Chicago White Sox souls won’t try and crash it.

Special thanks to Ravensdale Park Foundation co-founders Rob Nist from Cedar River Baseball Council and Maple Valley Pony Baseball; Scott Serpa from Maple Valley Soccer; and Foundation Board Member Gordon Mormon, representing the Ravensdale community. Shout-outs to landscape architect Eric Sweet, SLA Landscape Architecture; and Parks district manager Eric Coynor for helping the Foundation at every opportunity on this complicated and lengthy project.

Now go hit some dingers.
