Come on out to Marymoor Park this weekend and celebrate Washington beer (and fathers) at the 10th annual Washington Brewers Festival. Did you know that Washington State’s Yakima Valley produces 77% of the total U.S. hop crop? Now that’s something to celebrate! Bring your ol’ man to sample some of the 400 beers from the 105 Washington Breweries attending the festival. Don’t forget to try out the “5 for 10″: 10th Anniversary Washington Brewers Festival Collaboration Summer Session Pale Ale (wow that’s a long one). The pale ale is a special collaboration between Fremont, Elysian, Beardslee, Diamond Knot and Two Beers so you know you gotta check it out.
This festival is more than just beer beer beer, it’s also wine, cider, great food and live music. Artists such as Spike and the Impalers, SpoonShine, and Nearly Dan will be taking to the stage and food vendors such as The Grilled Cheese Experience, Pompeii Wood Fired Pizza and Snout & Co will be supplying the grub. On Saturday and Sunday, families can bring their little munchkins to the festival (fo’ free) and attend the Kid’s Playground or Rootbeer Garden. Admission to the fest includes a souvenir tasting GLASS (no more plastic tasters) and TEN (3oz) tasting tokens. Check out the official website here for more information and ticket pricing. Here’s to a beertastic weekend!
