In just a few short days, the summer concert series kicks off at Marymoor Park, which means it’s time to refresh your playlist and plan some summer fun. Not enough dough to see every show? Then considering volunteering on the Marymoor Composting and Recycling Crew!

Marymoor Composting and Recycling Crew volunteers help educate concert-goers about sorting their compostable and recyclable materials. Volunteers who sign up for a shift at one or more concerts get free entry and parking to the shows at which they work.

Since 2007, King County Parks has been committed to making the concerts a carbon-neutral event. Due to the work of the composting and recycling volunteers, we’ve been able to keep more than half of the waste generated by concert series out of the landfill every year for the past decade.

Volunteers staff bin stations and help concert-goers sort food scraps, biodegradable cups, and other items into the appropriate places.

Sign up to volunteer with your family, friends, or co-workers and make it a cheap night out!
