May 9th is GIVEBIG and your chance to support the King County Parks Foundation efforts to combat climate change by helping King County plant a million trees by 2020. No one does trees better than parks.

You don’t even need to wait until the BIG day – schedule your donation today, so you can be outside on May 9th instead – enjoying our 200 parks, 175 miles of trails and 28,000 acres of open space!

The King County Parks Foundation is currently focusing on three initiatives:

  • Contributing to King County’s goal to combat climate change by planting one million trees by 2020, specifically supporting tree planting on King County Parks’ lands.
  • Supporting the restoration of the iconic Wilburton Trestle along the Eastside Rail Corridor. Once complete, this 16.7 mile recreation and transportation corridor will connect the communities of Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Woodinville and Redmond.
  • Helping further the conservation of the last best places in King County through the King County Land Conservation Initiative.
