The White Center neighborhood, an unincorporated area located between West Seattle and Burien, is home to a wide variety of parks, trails, and recreation options. Whether you want to gather with friends for drop-in basketball, take your kids to the playground, or go on a trek in local trails to connect with nature, White Center has it. King County Parks cares for four parks in the neighborhood, and there are even more ways to explore Your Big Backyard that are all within walking distance and/or short bike and bus rides away!
To make it easier to find your next White Center adventure, we partnered with the Rec Aides of the White Center Teen Program to create the White Center Parks Guide. It includes a map highlighting all parks and trails in the neighborhood, as well as tips on how to make the most out of your visits to the four King County Parks in White Center: Steve Cox Memorial Park, Dick Thurnau Memorial Park, White Center Heights Park, and North Shorewood Park.
The Guide is available in four of the top languages spoken in White Center: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Somali. You can pick up printed guides with the White Center Teen Program located at Steve Cox Memorial Park or download the digital versions below.
We hope you enjoy exploring all that White Center has to offer!
